ANTONELLA CAPUTO is a native of Rome, Italy,
where she lived until recently. She has worked as a restorer of
paintings and ceramics, and for a short while in cinema and theatre.
Her writing first appeared in Il Giornalino, where she produced
monthly episodes of Casa Montesi, a family drama. Since then
she has written scripts for childrens' comics and magazines, a recipe
column and short stories and plays for children, as well as graphic
novelisations of works by H G Wells, Mark Twain, Edgar Allan Poe,
Arthur Conan Doyle, Ann Radcliff and Oscar Wilde. Her work has been
published in Italy, the UK, US and Mexico. As well as Nick Miller, she
has worked with artists RICK GEARY, MARK NELSON, ANTON EMDIN, SETH
FRAIL, CARLO VERGARA and BRAD TEARE.
Antonella lives in Lancaster, England, with her partner Nick Miller, and
three
cats. |
TEAM SPUTNIK is the creative partnership of
writer Antonella Caputo and comics artist Nick Miller. Nick brings his
twenty years' experience in comics, graphic design and advertising to
the team, while Antonella adds her skills and experience as a writer of
comics, graphic novels and children's fiction.
Antonella and Nick continue to work independently with other
writers and artists, but their TEAM SPUTNIK collaborations have now
been published in Italy, the US and the UK, and have been well received
by fellow creatives, readers and critics
alike.

NICK MILLER is a freelance cartoonist and
comics artist living and working in Lancaster, England.
He learned to
draw at an early age, but received most of his formal training as an
artist at Shrewsbury School of Art.
He worked for several years as a graphic designer, both freelance and
in-agency, before switching to freelance illustration full-time in the
late 'eighties. Since then he has illustrated everything from
childrens' comics to graphic novels, advertising, childrens' book and
greetings cards, and his work has appeared in the UK, US and Italy
As well as Antonella Caputo, Nick has worked with writers TIM QUINN, TONY HUSBAND,
MARK ROGERS, JOHN FREEMAN and CLIVE WARD. He
shares his home with Antonella, and is bullied by three
cats.
