SELINA SEDILIA PAGE 16

Here's the last page of Bret Harte's Selina Sedilia, written by Antonella and drawn by me, which first appeared in an edition of Graphic Classics a couple of years ago. From tomorrow, we'll be running our version of the Mark Twain short story, The Facts Concerning the Recent Carnival of Crime in Connecticut (I'll never fit that into the title bar)...

SELINA SEDILIA PAGE 12

Now for page 12 of Bret Harte's Selina Sedilia, turned into a comic strip by us...

This page took ages to do (by hand, I wasn't so advanced along my Photoshop learning curve when I drew this), and I don't think it works all that well. The idea was to make it look like a sequence from an old silent movie, but the fact that I had to run the frames in three vertical columns instead of horizontally like the rest of the strip, and the train leaps across the gap in the bottom centre frame while the connected caption ~ "LEAP..!!" ~ appears in the top right frame makes for confusion. A worthy failure I think.

SELINA SEDILIA PAGE 6

Here's page six of Bret Harte's Selina Sedilia, written by Antonella and drawn by me...

This is the right-hand side of the double-page spread that started with yesterday's post. In order to see the two pages as they were intended: (a) place two computers side-by-side, with their monitors directly adjacent: (b) access internet with both computers, and go to TEAM SPUTNIK BLOG: (c) display Selina Sedilia page 5 on the left-hand monitor, and Selina Sedilia page 6 on the right-hand monitor. You should now be able to view both pages in their intended layout. Thank you.

Footnote: If you haven't got two computers handy, we suggest you go to the Graphic Classics website and buy a copy of the Bret Harte edition, although, of course, we'd like it if you also continued visiting our blog...
